CPF Champion for entrepreneurs
Mark was a co-founder of one of Britain’s earliest and most successful internet businesses, which grew from a team of eight people at launch in June 2000 to now being in the FTSE-100.
As an entrepreneur and investor, he is now involved in around forty early-stage technology businesses, most of which are in some way disruptive to existing industry models. Before launching a start-up, he spent five years in the City with a leading American investment bank, and five years as a broadcaster and journalist, with the BBC and the Daily Telegraph.
He is now a volunteer, sitting on a number of charitable boards and chairing the National Governing Body of an Olympic sport. He is married with four children aged between 15 and 9, and lives in south-west London, where he is active politically and until recently chaired his local ward.
