The Conservative Policy Forum are delighted to welcome Anna Firth into the team as the new Voluntary Director, taking over from predecessor Flick Drummond.
"I am absolutely delighted to be elected National Voluntary Director of the Conservative Policy Forum and I would like to thank everyone who kindly voted for me and encouraged me to go for the role in the first place. I would also like to thank the whole CPF team for organising such an efficient election and my opponents for making it such a great contest.
Now more then ever we need big, bold ideas to tackle global issues like the coronavirus epidemic and the environment, but also issues that affect us all every day like the cost of living, housing and adult social care.
Ideas are the lifeblood of any political party and the CPF is the ideas engine of the Conservative Party. We have a fantastic record of generation-defining ideas - privatisation, votes for women, free secondary school education, mass home ownership - all once revolutionary Conservative ideas.
The best ideas always come from our members so however new you are to politics, however new you are to our Party, your ideas, your thinking and your voice really matters.
So if you don’t have a CPF in your area or you want help to run an online CPF meeting during this crisis, please send me a message – 07807857230 or, better still, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Even if you have never heard of the Conservative Policy Forum but you have a big idea or a burning injustice you want to fix, please text us, post us, send us an email or just pick up the telephone. I would love to hear from you.
Finally, I would like to pay tribute to Flick Drummond. Flick has she been an outstanding Voluntary Director of the Conservative Policy Forum. She has also contributed a huge amount to our Party over many years and it is fantastic that she is back in Parliament."
