About the Event
'Levelling-up' is a great idea, but how do you achieve it in practice? And in a way that empowers current and future generations, rather than just relying on hand-outs?
For 'levelling-up' to mean anything, we must enable people from all walks of life to participate in wealth creation and build a real sense of ownership. My proposals for a more egalitarian form of capitalism and a continuing process of inter-generational rebalancing are a far-sighted and practical approach to achieve that objective, for both current and future generations. Rooted in Conservative principles of free enterprise and self-determination, they will empower people at all levels of society, and enable all to benefit from the opportunities accruing from the technological revolution.
