Summary of Health and Social Care Discussion

In response to our discussion on health and social care, we received submissions from 124 CPF groups representing 150 constituencies and at least 1199 members across the country. This represents the largest number of submissions since the 2015 general election (and possibly ever) and more than 10 per cent above the average number of participants.

CPF Award Winners at Party Conference

Thirty CPF groups were presented with Director's Awards at the CPF Drinks Reception, held at the Party Conference. The BANES CPF group earned a particular mention because their coordinator was invited during the conference to discuss his proposal in greater detail with no fewer than three of the Prime Minister's policy advisers.

Digital Age Discussion Paper

We hope that you have seen the encouraging formal responses that we received to our discussions on the environment, on skills & training and on Conservatives values. We are pleased to publish this new discussion paper on the challenge and opportunities of the digital age.

Search for new CPF Voluntary Party Director

The three-year term of our current CPF Voluntary Party Director is drawing to a close, so we are commencing the search for someone who is passionate about the CPF and who can build on our recent successful record of growth and influence.

Feedback on Skills & Training and Environment discussions

The CPF’s Paper 1/2018 on “Skills and Training for a 21st Century Workforce” and Paper 2/2018 on “Conservative Conservation” were excellent discussions. The Papers are diverse, wide-ranging and engaging; their suggestions for policy development are both thoughtful and compelling. We very much value the direct input of CPF members into our work here in Downing Street, and I am very pleased, on behalf of Gavin Barwell as Chief of Staff, to enclose formal feedback to several issues that were raised.

Feedback on Conservatives Values & Policy Commission

I am delighted to be able to bring you this formal response from Chris Skidmore MP, Chair of the Conservative Policy Commission and Vice Chair for Policy, to the CPF's reflection on Conservative values, which began with our national discussion paper and concluded with our recent online Members' poll.

Summary of environment discussion

In response to our discussion on the environment, we received submissions from 94 CPF groups, representing 109 constituencies and at least 838 members across the country.

Health and Social Care Discussion

Last year, the CPF published a discussion paper on the important subject of adult social care. That was interrupted by the snap general election, during which the debate moved on significantly. This paper picks up and widens that discussion.
