About the Event

Join us for our online discussion on our current consultation focusing on Labour's planned tax rises. Members will go into breakout groups to discuss the questions below before pitching their ideas to our special guest.

Setting the scene

Labour’s Autumn Budget is hitting the British economy hard, with £40 billion in tax rises affecting everyday life. Hundreds of thousands of pensioners have lost their winter fuel allowance. Small businesses are struggling as National Insurance costs soar, with employer contributions rising to 15% and the threshold slashed from £9,100 to £5,000. This isn’t just hurting businesses—higher NI costs are increasing the price of delivering public services, stretching already strained budgets.

Despite Labour’s promises of economic growth, inflation has now risen to 3%. With the Spring Budget fast approaching, we need to act. Join us for an online discussion on our third survey, shaping the Conservative response to Labour’s tax-and-spend agenda.
