About the Event

Many believe the future operating environment for our armed forces will not be limited by lines on maps or by geography. These challenges will be complex, test our approach and target our most vulnerable areas. We will likely be confronted by state and non-state actors who will employ brinkmanship, malign activity below the threshold of armed conflict, terrorism, proxies, coercion and the deliberate use of economic tools to undermine our economic and security interests. Please do join us as we consider what the British Armed Forces will be like in 2030.

Edmund spent 2017 serving in Afghanistan as part of the NATO mission; in 2021 he volunteered to evacuate Kabul airort when we left. His group of 450 people consisting of British Nationals and entitled Afganistans were all sucessfully evacuated. He works in finance in the City of London and was a Conservative Councillor for 8 years.
