Purpose of the job
Organise in-person CPF policy discussion events to get young Conservatives engaged with the Policy Forum and the wider Party
Core responsibilities
Organise, promote and run two CPF policy discussion events for YCs (anyone under 30 with Conservative views, whether they are Party members or not), maximising the number of people who attend and participate in them. The discussion events use the CPF's proven and successful small-group brainstorming format. Outlines and training on how to run them will be provided.
Work with and support our CPF Regional Ambassadors with any help they may need and vice-versa.
Feed recommendations back to the CPF Youth Champions on what is and is not working well to attract more people under 30 to become involved in CPF activities.
Skills needed
Great communication skills are a must as you will be networking with Conservative Associations across your region, as well as other relevant groups, such as Young Conservatives (YCs) and Conservative Young Women. Good organisation and initiative will help in setting up and organising policy discussion events. Marketing skills will help boost the number of attendees.
Measures of Progress
By the end of your one-year term, we hope that you will have:
Organised and run two policy discussion events for YCs with at least 50 people under 30 attending.
Helped us in boosting our Young Conservative members overall.
Reports to: CPF Youth Champion for your area
Duration: One year each term, role is renewable
