The CPF is delighted to announce that Penny-Anne O'Donnell has been elected by the National Convention to serve as CPF Voluntary Director for the next three years.
Penny-Anne is a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist, who has run an independent clinical practice for over two decades. She provides SEND Cabinet support as a County Councillor for Warwickshire County Council and chairs the Overview and Scrutiny Committee as a District Councillor on Stratford District Council. She also stood as a candidate in the 2019 general election.
Penny-Anne says, "I am both honoured and delighted to have been elected as the new National Voluntary Director for the CPF. A heartfelt thanks to all who voted for me and thank you to the CPF team and National Convention for running such an efficient election. I would like to pay tribute to the other finalists who also share a passion for policy."
She continues, "CPF is the most influential political think tank in the country. I cannot wait to get started, ensuring members' voices are heard loud and clear as fantastic policy ideas are put forward."
Peter Booth, Vice Chairman of the CPF and Chairman of the Conservative National Convention, says, "Thank you to members of National Convention for partaking in the election of Voluntary Director of CPF, and to all candidates who took part. It was a very strong field and commiserations to those who weren’t successful. I look forward to continuing to work with Penny-Anne O’Donnell, who I am sure will make a real success of this role."
John Penrose, Chairman of the CPF, says, "Huge congratulations to Penny-Anne, and commiserations to the other finalists in a hugely strong and impressive field of candidates. We’re all really looking forward to working with her. CPF is already one of the biggest and fastest-growing think-tanks in the country, and with Penny-Anne on board I’m sure we will grow even more."
John Hayward, CPF Manager adds, "I had the opportunity to work with Penny-Anne on our 'Tell No.10' initiative and in her former capacity as a CPF Champion. So I know that she will be a dedicated and effective Voluntary Director and I look forward to working with her more closely as she joins the CPF Management Team."
